About the artist
Mara Voss
A fictional Berlin-based painter working between abstraction, landscape and material memory.
Mara’s paintings begin outdoors—with rubbings, color notes and collected fragments—but are completed slowly in the studio. Thin stains sit beside dense passages of wax and pigment. Atlas Studio is believable but fictional. Its content exists so visitors can safely practice editing a real-looking website.
At a glance
I use abstraction to keep a place open long enough for another memory to enter.
